Destiny House exists to provide safe shelter, food, support services and an avenue to self-sufficiency for homeless people in Warrensburg and Johnson County.

We believe that all people deserve the basic necessities of life, and the community in which we live is called to serve this purpose.

Our Core Values:
    Treat all with dignity

    Practice responsible stewardship
Achieve results through competence and creativity
    Programs and Services
    Winter Sheltering

Our commitment is that all people deserve safe overnight shelter, food, and support services from October through April.

Winter Sheltering services are available from October 15 through April 30 for any adult in need.  Dinner and breakfast, a safe place to sleep, storage space for personal belongings, access to showers and laundry facility, and meetings with case managers are all provided free of charge.

Intake is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. All residents must be checked in by 7:00 p.m. unless prior arrangements have been made. In order to stay at the Shelter, residents must abide by basic behavioral rules.
